This platform can hold deeply personal information. We separate routine site administration from your private workspace and explain where each kind of information lives.

Your private workspace stays out of Admin

The Admin and Editor areas do not display your notes, goals, reflections, health records, form answers, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, or pantry items.

Structured records stay with your account

Text and structured data are stored in the Chart Your Life database — not Google Drive — so they can sync across devices and be managed from your account.

Files stay in your cloud storage

Photos, videos, PDFs, and documents remain in Google Drive or another cloud provider. We keep only the HTTPS link and basic metadata, not a persistent copy of the file.

Export or delete

You can download a JSON export of supported account and workspace records or delete your account from Settings. Removing a cloud link here does not delete the original file from your storage provider.

What app administrators can see

Admins can manage the account information needed to operate the service: your name, login email, optional date of birth and derived age, gender, role, purchases, access entitlements, and whether cloud storage has been connected. The Admin and Editor screens do not provide a view into the private workspace content listed above.

Where your information lives

Account details and structured records — including notes, goals, progress, health entries, routines, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, and form responses — are stored in the application's PostgreSQL database and scoped to your account. Persistent media files stay in your Google Drive or another cloud provider; the application stores their links and descriptive metadata.

When direct Google Drive uploads are configured, Chart Your Life requests the limited drive.file permission. That permission covers only the specific files used with the app and does not allow the app to browse the rest of your Drive.

Controlled operational access

As with any hosted service, specifically authorized infrastructure operators may need controlled technical access for security response, backup recovery, legal obligations, or support you request. That access is not part of the normal Admin or Editor experience.

How purchases work

Payments are handled securely by Stripe. Everything is a one-time purchase — no subscriptions or renewals. Access is granted through entitlement records and remains available unless a purchase is refunded, reversed, or otherwise invalidated under the terms.

Your rights

Download the supported records included in your JSON export, correct your profile, or delete your account and application data from Account Settings. You remain responsible for deleting original files from Google Drive or another cloud provider.
